ROBERT COLLADO
MAIN STREET COORDINATOR

Robert Collado is the Main Street program Manager for the Downtown Hazleton Alliance for Progress.  In this role Mr. Collado provides assistance with marketing and business recruitment initiatives, the development of educational programs and workshops, the facilitation of stakeholder meetings, and the recruitment of volunteers for special projects and programs.


Latinx Entrepreneur from The Dominican Republic, who graduated with an associate in Marketing and social media management at Brigham Young University. 

Mr. Collado’ s professional background gives him a unique perspective into both the challenges and opportunities associated with downtown revitalization and the cultural changes the Hazleton community had experienced in recent years. He has a rich cultural background working in more than six different countries. As part of his studies he has traveled in South America, in lived in countries like Perú, Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil. 

Over the past five years he was responsible for assisting several charitable organizations focusing on helping small communities to succeed. Yoshie, the Executive Director of DHAP adds, “We are excited to have someone with his media outreach background and experience join our team. He worked with us in our August 5th, First Friday event, his enthusiasm and fresh ideas are contagious. We are thrilled that he wants to be part of Downtown Hazleton’s development and growth.”

Mr. Collado professional background also includes experience working as a community manager to help organizations make an impact through social media. He is currently pursuing a degree on Human Services at Lackawanna College.

Outside of work he spends time with his spouse, and their Shih Tzu puppy, Kyoto. He also likes to spend time reading, writing his own poetry, short stories, and has a very eclectic taste in music.
