DOWNTOWN ALLIANCE RECEIVES DONATION FROM FIRST FEDERAL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

The Downtown Hazleton Alliance for Progress has been able to initiate a Façade Improvement Program thanks to $60,000 in grant funding (over two years) from the First Federal Charitable Foundation. “This donation is going to really help make tangible differences in the downtown,” said Krista Schneider, Executive Director of the Alliance. “Even minor changes, like fresh paint, or new awnings or signage, can make a big difference in the way people perceive the downtown—and that is really important right now as we try to attract new investment." The Alliance plans to use this donation as matching funds for additional facade grants available from PA DCED. For more information visit the Facade Rehabilitation Grant Program page.
